In order to promote and regulate the promotion and application of electronic documents, enhance the digitalization level of goods trade and transportation, reduce the overall logistics costs, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the parties involved in electronic documents activities, and maintain national security and public interests, the Cyberspace Administration of China, in conjunction with relevant departments, has drafted the "Provisions on the Promotion and Regulation of Electronic Documents Application" in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and is now seeking public comments. It is mentioned in the provisions that institutions and enterprises in the fields of goods trade, logistics, and finance are encouraged to recognize and use electronic documents in their business operations, improve the digitalization level of business applications, and promote industry upgrading and efficiency improvement. Financial institutions are encouraged to explore the use of digital yuan and other new payment methods for cross-border payments under the premise of lawful compliance and controllable risks, and actively and prudently innovate financial product and service models.
