On September 13, Guo Shougang, Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Level 1 Inspector, stated at the 2025 China Automobile Industry Development International Forum that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued a new round of automotive industry stability and growth work plan to promote automobile consumption. The ministry will continue to optimize preferential policies such as vehicle purchase tax and vehicle and vessel tax for new energy vehicles, and further promote the penetration of new energy vehicles in rural areas.
