Economic Daily: Expanding foreign trade increment starting from the "New"
In recent years, China has implemented a series of effective policies to stabilize foreign trade and promote development. With the construction of free trade pilot zones and free trade ports as the focus, China has continuously optimized the business environment, facilitated and liberalized foreign trade. For example, actively participating in international regional economic integration, coordinating with high-standard economic and trade rules through platforms such as RCEP, actively exploring diversified foreign trade markets, and achieving significant results. Continuously improving the quality of foreign trade development is an important way for China to transition from a trading power to a trading powerhouse. It requires a dual driving force of "technological innovation + diversified layout", seizing opportunities, and implementing flexible strategies systematically. Innovation-driven development cultivates new momentum for foreign trade development. Accelerate the construction of global cross-border e-commerce hubs, promote the digitalization of trade through applications such as blockchain digital bills of lading and intelligent customs clearance, promote intelligent manufacturing for foreign trade enterprises, and establish industry-level industrial internet platforms. Continuously promote institutional innovation, expand institutional-based openness, upgrade customs facilitation measures, implement rules of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, promote the alignment and pressure testing of high-standard economic and trade rules such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement. Construct import trade promotion innovation demonstration zones, expand the import of advanced technology equipment, and empower the development of new foreign trade momentum through institutional innovation.
