South Sudanese people face dual crises of floods and conflicts, United Nations calls for international assistance.
On the 12th local time, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office warned in Geneva that South Sudan has recently experienced severe flooding, forcing about 100,000 people to flee their homes. In addition, some areas of the country have experienced renewed conflict since February this year, plunging the population into a "double crisis". The United Nations is calling on the international community to increase support to prevent the humanitarian crisis from further deteriorating.
