Apple's artificial intelligence and search business executive Robby Walker will resign.
According to sources, Apple's senior executive in the artificial intelligence department, Robby Walker, is set to leave the company. Walker is one of the few direct subordinates of AI chief John Giannandrea and has been in charge of the Siri project until earlier this year when the project's oversight was transferred to software chief Craig Federighi. This personnel change comes after the promised updates to Siri's functionality were publicly delayed. After leaving the Siri project, Robby Walker has become one of the top executives at Apple responsible for developing a new AI-driven web search system, which is planned to launch next year to compete with products like Perplexity and ChatGPT.
