At today's special event for interpreting the medical insurance and medical consumables classification rules policy, Zhao Xiuzhu, Deputy Director of the Big Data Center of the National Medical Security Administration, introduced that as of the end of August 2025, the medical consumables classification and code database had already published 103,600 categories of consumables. This covers 15,000 enterprises, 91,600 registration certificates, 140,900 products, and 13.3796 million specifications and models. Zhao Xiuzhu also revealed that efforts will continue to be organized to promote the revision and optimization of other medical insurance and medical consumables classifications. The research on the adjustment of orthopedic implant consumables has been basically completed and will be released in due course.
