Additionally, 16 individuals were prohibited from entering the insurance industry to varying degrees, and 12 individuals had their qualifications revoked.
In the life insurance sector, in August, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and its subsidiaries imposed penalties totaling 17.5835 million yuan on insurance institutions and related personnel, a significant increase of 83.12% compared to the previous year.
In the property insurance sector, in August, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and its subsidiaries imposed penalties totaling 23.003 million yuan on insurance institutions and related personnel, an increase of 34.44% compared to the previous year, accounting for 51.89% of the total penalties in the insurance industry for that month.
