On September 8, 2025, Ambassador Chen Daojiang to Mexico presented his credentials to President Sinbaum of the United Mexican States. Ambassador Chen conveyed President Xi Jinping's warm greetings to President Sinbaum and stated that the strategic, complementary, and mutually beneficial nature of the China-Mexico relationship is more prominent. In November of last year, President Xi Jinping and President Sinbaum met at the G20 Leaders' Summit and set the course for China-Mexico relations. China is willing to work with Mexico to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and promote greater development of China-Mexico comprehensive strategic partnership. President Sinbaum asked Ambassador Chen to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping and welcomed Ambassador Chen's assumption of office. Sinbaum positively evaluated the bilateral relationship between Mexico and China, stating that the two countries have achieved fruitful results in various fields such as economy and trade, and expressing willingness to work with China to continuously improve the level of bilateral relations. Ambassador Chen Daojiang arrived in Mexico to take office on June 30, 2025.
