Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Work Plan to Support Beijing in Pilot Implementing the World Trade Organization's E-Commerce Agreement". The head of the Department of World Trade in the Ministry of Commerce interpreted the "Work Plan". The "Work Plan" consists of five parts, with a total of 41 specific measures. The first part is to enhance the digitization of trade, aimed at improving trade efficiency and reducing operational costs for businesses. The second part is to improve the data governance system, aiming to establish a standardized, efficient, and secure data element market. The third part is to optimize the digital consumption environment, with the aim of regulating market order and protecting consumer rights. The fourth part is to optimize the openness and transparency of telecommunications services. The fifth part is to strengthen international cooperation in digital trade.
