Lukashenko: I hope Trump will work towards ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

According to a message released on the website of the President of Belarus on the 11th, Belarus President Lukashenko expressed during a meeting with the visiting US Special Envoy John Col concerning the hope that US President Trump would keep his promise and work towards ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Lukashenko stated during the meeting that he hoped the US would continue to take action to promote peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, act more objectively, and listen to all sides. The two sides also discussed Belarus-US relations and US sanctions. Col stated that the US hopes and is prepared to make every effort to normalize bilateral relations. The US has officially lifted sanctions against Belarusian airlines. Col also read out a handwritten letter from Trump during the meeting.
