The first urban area in the Yangtze River Delta with a new energy grid connection capacity of over 20 million kilowatts is born.
On the 11th, it was learned from State Grid Jiangsu Provincial Electric Power Co., Ltd. that with the second batch of units of the Guoxin Dafeng 850,000 kilowatt offshore wind power project connected to the grid, the total grid-connected capacity of new energy in Yancheng, Jiangsu reached 20.34 million kilowatts, becoming the first city in the Yangtze River Delta with a new energy grid-connected capacity exceeding 20 million kilowatts. Located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, Yancheng is rich in wind and solar resources and is one of the first batch of cities to carry out carbon peaking trials. Wind power accounts for 48% and photovoltaic power accounts for 51% of the total grid-connected capacity of 20.34 million kilowatts. From January to August this year, the new energy generation in Yancheng reached 24.55 billion kilowatt-hours.
