Data released by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange shows that on May 21, a total of 611 Hong Kong stocks were shorted, with a total short selling amount of 27.256 billion Hong Kong dollars. Among them, there were 54 stocks with short selling amounts exceeding 1 billion Hong Kong dollars, with BYD Company, Contemporary Amperex Technology, and Xiaomi Corporation-W being the top three in terms of short selling amounts, at 2.024 billion Hong Kong dollars, 1.891 billion Hong Kong dollars, and 1.428 billion Hong Kong dollars respectively. In terms of the short selling ratio, there were a total of 45 stocks with a short selling ratio exceeding 30%, with Sun Hung Kai Properties, NIO Inc-SW, and Digital China Holdings being the top three, at 57.52%, 54.15%, and 54.13% respectively.
