The tenth BRICS Energy Ministers Meeting was held in Braslia, the capital of Brazil, on May 19. The meeting, chaired by the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy, mainly focused on discussions on energy security, energy transition, and energy accessibility. Ren Jingdong, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. China emphasized that it attaches great importance to energy cooperation with BRICS countries and is committed to strengthening policy coordination, technological exchange, and project cooperation with relevant countries through the BRICS Energy Cooperation Platform. In recent years, China and BRICS countries have made significant progress in energy cooperation, with traditional energy sectors such as oil, natural gas, and coal being increasingly consolidated, and emerging sectors such as renewable energy, hydrogen energy, energy storage, and carbon markets being continuously expanded.
