Musk doubles down on AI arms race: Tesla and xAI to expand chip purchases from Nvidia (NVDA.US) and AMD (AMD.US)

According to the Securities Times app, Elon Musk said on Tuesday that he expects Tesla and xAI to continue buying chips from semiconductor giants Nvidia and AMD. Musk said that his AI company xAI has already installed 200,000 GPUs at the Colossus factory in Memphis, Tennessee. Musk also mentioned that xAI plans to build a $1 million GPU factory on the outskirts of Memphis. He did not specify how many chips the company has ordered or when they may be installed.
