Musk stated that he promises to serve as the CEO of Tesla for the next five years, which alleviated some investors' concerns about his level of commitment to the car manufacturer. Musk made a remote appearance at the Qatar Economic Forum held in Doha on Tuesday, where he discussed the future of Tesla. He criticized a judge from the Delaware Chancery Court who had twice ruled Tesla's large compensation package awarded to him in 2018 as invalid, but stated that he did not believe this issue would affect his decision to continue in his role. Musk said, "Compensation should be commensurate with extraordinary achievements, but I am confident that whatever decision a Delaware judge makes will not affect future compensation arrangements." Musk also stated that there is no conflict of interest between the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and his business.
