On May 20, Faraday Future announced on its official WeChat account that its subsidiary FF China has hired a senior financial advisory firm to jointly explore potential mergers and capital market opportunities in China to promote FF's global AI and AIEV technology acquisition strategy. Economist Pan Helin said in an interview with reporters that this indirectly indicates that Jia Yueting's FF is facing obstacles in its financing channels in the United States, which is why he is seeking financing opportunities in China where capital sources are more diverse. FF's target for mergers and acquisitions focuses on AI and autonomous driving, indicating that FF is actually looking to create reasons for financing. Pan Helin believes that Jia Yueting may also not have opportunities domestically because Chinese AI and AIEV companies may not necessarily want to sell themselves to a flawed company. There are many companies in China that are interested in mergers and acquisitions in AI and AIEV, including large institutions like national industry funds, so the likelihood of success is low.
