Early efforts to increase fiscal spending led to accelerated progress in national fiscal expenditures in the first four months.

The Ministry of Finance released data on May 20th, showing that in the first four months of this year, the national general public budget expenditure was 935.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. 31.5% of the budget was completed, and the expenditure progress was the fastest since 2020 during the same period. Various levels of financial departments have conscientiously implemented a more proactive fiscal policy, increased expenditure intensity, optimized expenditure structure, paid more attention to benefiting the people, promoting consumption, and boosting future growth, and key areas of expenditure have been well safeguarded.
