The Hainan Provincial Market Supervision Bureau signed a cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre Limited.

On May 20th, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Hainan Provincial Market Supervision Administration and the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Center Limited was held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. According to the agreement, the two parties will deepen cooperation in multiple areas to promote the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. First, they will promote the upgrading of inspection and testing capabilities by establishing a joint laboratory and introducing international standards. This will facilitate direct international recognition of testing results in areas such as biopharmaceuticals, deep-sea equipment, eliminating the need for duplicate testing for exported products and accelerating the "going global" process of high-quality products. Second, they will promote the upgrading of industrial competitiveness by leveraging STC certification resources to provide international certification labels for tropical agricultural products, traditional Li medicine, biodegradable materials, enhancing brand trust and market premiums. Third, they will promote the internationalization of the service industry by referencing Hong Kong's "Outstanding Service Plan" for Hainan, developing international standards for industries such as tourism and healthcare to attract international consumer groups. At the same time, the cooperation will lay the foundation for the operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port in 2025, strengthening technical support for cross-border trade inspection mutual recognition, green industry compliance assurance, and assisting in the implementation of the "open at the front-line, manage at the back-line" system for the Free Trade Port.
