Weichai Power stated during institutional surveys on May 19 that in the first quarter of 2025, domestic sales of natural gas heavy trucks reached 47,000 units with a market penetration rate of 31%. With its low carbon and economic advantages, the application scenarios for natural gas heavy trucks will become more extensive, and it is expected that the penetration rate will continue to rise. On March 18, the Ministry of Transport issued a notice stating that the "scrappage for new policy" subsidy now covers natural gas heavy trucks, which will further boost demand for gas vehicle purchases.
