AMD will sell its ZT Systems data center infrastructure manufacturing business to Sanmina for a transaction value of $3 billion.
On May 19th, AMD announced that they have reached a final agreement to sell ZT Systems' data center infrastructure manufacturing business to integrated manufacturing solutions company Sanmina for a transaction value of $3 billion. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Last August, AMD agreed to acquire server manufacturer ZT Systems in a cash and stock deal worth $4.9 billion. AMD stated at the time that they would retain the company's design and customer teams and sell off its manufacturing division.
