Gorman: Apple executives believe that their AI chatbot is on par with the latest version of ChatGPT.

Technology journalist Mark Gurman revealed that Apple has been internally testing its self-developed AI chatbot product. Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that under the leadership of new AI chief John Giannandrea, Apple's in-house AI project has made significant technological breakthroughs in the past six months. Furthermore, Apple executives believe that the current version of this chatbot is on par with the latest version of ChatGPT. Gurman also confirmed that Apple currently does not have plans to announce any major updates to Siri at the WWDC 2025 developer conference, and the "Siri 2.0" with a large language model is expected to debut in the later stages of the iOS 19 cycle.
