Recently, researchers in China have made a new breakthrough in the field of DNA storage, developing a brand new DNA storage system called HELIX. This system is specifically designed for storing biomedical data, and has successfully achieved the storage and retrieval of 60MB of spatiotemporal omics images. This research achievement was made by a team led by Professor Wu Huaming from the Center for Applied Mathematics at Tianjin University, and was recently published online in the international academic journal "Nature - Computational Science".
