Data disclosed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange shows that on May 19, a total of 611 Hong Kong stocks were shorted, with a total short selling amount of HK$22.22 billion. Among them, there were 50 stocks with short selling amounts exceeding HK$1 billion, with BYD Company, Tencent Holdings, and Meituan-W taking the top three spots, with short selling amounts of HK$14.78 billion, HK$13.65 billion, and HK$13.58 billion respectively.
