Hubei Xiatao initiates Level IV emergency response to drought.

The flood control and drought resistance headquarters of Xiantao City announced that since the beginning of this year, the total rainfall in the city has been 294.1 millimeters, which is 30% below the historical average for the same period. Due to the reduced inflow of water from the upper reaches of the Han River, water levels in the Han River and Dongjing River in Xiantao City have continued to decline, leading to varying degrees of drought in some towns.
