Hubei's installed photovoltaic capacity surpasses hydropower for the first time.

In the barren hills of Hubei, rows of photovoltaic panels are spreading like "sunlight crops". As of April this year, these "blue fields" along with rotating white wind turbines have contributed 50.66 million kilowatts of clean energy to Hubei, enough to power 40 million air conditioners simultaneously. Surprisingly, the installed capacity of photovoltaics has reached 40.4029 million kilowatts, surpassing hydropower for the first time, becoming the new champion of green energy in Hubei.
