The 28th Conference of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) and the 93rd Annual Meeting on the Construction of Water Scenery and Energy Storage Integration Bases was held in Chengdu, Sichuan on May 18th. Experts at the conference discussed and exchanged experiences on the development and construction of integrated water scenery and energy storage bases in the Yalong River basin against the backdrop of global green and low-carbon transformation. Deng Chao, Director of the Sichuan Energy Bureau, said that Sichuan has inherent advantages in the development of integrated water scenery and energy storage, and is currently planning to build four integrated water scenery bases in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, lower reaches of the Jinsha River, Yalong River basin, and upper reaches of the Dadu River.
