GAC enters the Ethiopian market, with plans to introduce 5 new energy vehicle models in the next three years.
On May 17, China's GAC Group brought the new energy vehicles AION Y and GAES ES9 to the Ethiopian market for the first time, assisting in Ethiopia's green transportation transformation and promoting cooperation between China, Ethiopia, and the automobile industry. Ethiopian Minister of Transport and Logistics, Bialo Hassan, stated that there are already more than 100,000 electric vehicles on the road in Ethiopia, and the government plans to increase this number to 500,000 in the next 10 years, replacing the majority of fuel-powered cars. Wei Haigang, General Manager of GAC International, said, "We are not only bringing products, but also committed to building a full value chain system of 'research and development, production, sales, service, and infrastructure'. In the next three years, we plan to introduce 5 new energy vehicle models to the Ethiopian market, injecting Chinese wisdom into the green transportation transformation of the African continent."
