Several areas in Guangdong have issued red alerts for heavy rain, and there will be localized heavy rain in the Pearl River Delta in the next few days.

As of 11:22 am this morning, a heavy rain warning signal has been in effect in many areas of the province. Among them, certain areas in Gaozhou City and Huazhou City, as well as the towns of Bajia in Yangchun City and Hekou in the city, have even hung up a red warning signal for heavy rain. According to monitoring statistics from the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Department, from 5:00 to 17:00 on May 17, 17 towns recorded more than 100 mm of heavy rain in Guangdong, 50 towns recorded 50 mm to 100 mm of heavy rain, and 208 towns recorded 25 mm to 50 mm of rainfall.
