Turkey discovers natural gas worth $30 billion in the Black Sea

Turkish President Erdogan announced that Turkey has discovered 750 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the Black Sea, worth 300 billion dollars. On Saturday, Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul that this discovery was made 49 days after drilling at the Goktepe 3 field in Sakarya, which will meet the needs of residents for 3.5 years. In 2020, Turkey discovered 3.2 trillion cubic meters of natural gas in the Black Sea, the largest in history. Erdogan stated that Turkey will continue to explore until they achieve the goal of complete energy independence.
