Ta-Hwa Airlines flight experienced a sudden in-flight engine failure, and the engine cover came off.

According to TTV news, on the 16th, a Mandarin Airlines flight from Kaohsiung to Kinmen took off at 7:30 in the morning, but the engine cover "lifted up", causing the plane to shake in the air. The aircraft had to make an emergency return. All 70 passengers safely returned to Kaohsiung airport. However, during the incident, the passengers were frightened, with some even immediately bringing out religious statues and reciting prayers to seek blessings. An investigation showed that maintenance personnel had failed to properly close the engine cowling after refueling.
