Trump stated in an interview that the plane would be given to the US Air Force and Department of Defense, not to himself, and that the plane will eventually be retired. Trump mentioned that he had spoken with the CEO of Boeing about delays in the delivery of the plane, saying, "We do have a problem with Boeing, yes, but we shouldn't still be flying a 42-year-old plane."
