Former Prime Minister of Chad, Maasala, was arrested.

Chad's prosecutor Omar Mohamed Kedra announced at a press conference on the 16th that the former prime minister, Souss Massala, was arrested earlier that morning. "Following the violent events in Siloga Province on the 14th, investigations by judicial police indicate that Massala may have been involved," Kedra explained. The arrest of Massala is part of a lawful investigation. "Prosecutions have been initiated and legal proceedings are underway, all those involved must be held accountable for their actions."
