Brazilian Environment Minister: Will deepen cooperation with China in areas such as vegetation restoration.
Brazil's Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, recently stated in an interview at a China-Brazil commercial seminar in Beijing that they will deepen cooperation with China in the areas of vegetation restoration, biobased materials replacing plastics, and mangrove conservation, while also promoting sustainable forest product trade. China and Brazil have already established mature cooperation models in wind energy, solar energy development, and other areas. The Environment and Climate Change Subcommittee of the China-Brazil High-Level Coordination and Cooperation Committee was established during President Lula's visit to China in 2023, and has developed a work plan covering key areas such as climate change, forest protection, plastic alternatives, and family farming.
