According to the China Securities News APP, the Ministry of Commerce and the National Development and Reform Commission recently jointly issued the "Measures for the Promotion and Management of the Catering Industry", which will be implemented starting from June 15, 2025, and the original "Measures for the Management of the Catering Industry (Trial)" will be abolished at the same time. The "Measures" include 25 articles, one more than the original measures. The revision of the "Measures" highlights the promotion orientation, adding encouraging provisions such as promoting the catering industry's external exchange and cooperation, digital development, revision of standards, and fostering local characteristic catering, guiding the high-quality development of the catering industry. Adhering strictly to relevant laws and regulations, the "Measures" clearly stipulate the requirements and encouraging measures for catering service operators to combat food waste from internal management, reminders, meal supply, and consumption scenarios, optimizing and adjusting the relevant requirements for business management.
