Peak Summer, Sichuan Yibin Virtual Power Plant starts expansion and upgrade.

On May 15th, with the real-time electricity load curve appearing on the large screen, Yibin Asia Star Zero Carbon Digital Logistics Port officially connected to the Yibin Virtual Power Plant platform, marking the expansion and upgrade of the first batch of virtual power plants in the province. Yibin is the second city in Sichuan to build a virtual power plant after Chengdu. Since the Yibin Virtual Power Plant platform went online for trial operation in April 2024, it has connected more than 170 electricity-consuming enterprises, with a dispatching capacity exceeding 140,000 kilowatts, accounting for over 3% of the total power used in Yibin on a daily basis. During the 2024 peak summer period, the Yibin Virtual Power Plant platform organized 42 enterprises to participate in demand response, reducing the electricity power by about 75,000 kilowatts during peak electricity consumption.
