On the 14th, Minister of National Defense Dong Jun delivered a speech at the Sixth United Nations Ministerial Meeting on Peacekeeping held in Berlin, Germany. Dong Jun stated that China supports UN peacekeeping reform and transformation and proposed 6 points: The first is to practice the global security initiative together with all parties, advocating for addressing security issues through solidarity, cooperation, and mutual benefit. The second is to firmly support the core position of the United Nations and its important role in world peace and security affairs. The third is to increase investment in UN peacekeeping operations, calling on countries to continue to firmly support UN peacekeeping operations. The fourth is to support the training of peacekeeping professionals, hold advanced strategic seminars and more training courses to help countries enhance their operational capabilities. The fifth is to adjust and optimize the deployment of peacekeeping standby forces' manpower and capabilities. The sixth is to promote continuous innovation in UN peacekeeping operations and facilitate the integration of new technologies into peacekeeping operations.
