The procuratorate has filed a public prosecution against Ding Wei, former Deputy President of China Merchants Bank Limited, on suspicion of bribery in accordance with the law.

Recently, the case of Ding Wei, former member of the Party Committee and vice president of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., who is suspected of bribery, has been investigated and concluded by the Haixi Municipal Supervision Committee in Qinghai Province. It has been transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. Designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Haixi Municipal People's Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution with the Haixi City Intermediate People's Court in accordance with the law. The case is still under further investigation. During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organ informed the defendant Ding Wei of his litigation rights in accordance with the law, interrogated the defendant according to the law, and listened to the opinions of the defense counsel. The Haixi Municipal People's Procuratorate accuses the defendant Ding Wei of using his position as vice president of China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. to seek benefits for others, illegally accepting money and goods from others in an especially large amount, and should be held criminally responsible for the crime of bribery according to law.
