2 hours 1 hour Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway Wuyi Section starts joint commissioning and testing
Reporters learned from the Wuhan Bureau of China Railway that this morning, with the operation of train 55103 for testing, the joint debugging and testing of the Wuhan to Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway has started, preparing for the full line to open for operation within the year. The Wuhan-Yichang section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway is located in Hubei Province, starting from Wuhan City, passing through Tianmen City and Jingmen City, and reaching Yichang City. The main line is 313 kilometers long with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After the railway is completed and opened, it will greatly reduce the time and space distance between Wuhan and Yichang, shortening the travel time from the current 2 hours to about 1 hour. This will also bring cities along the line such as Zhongxiang, Jingshan, and Dangyang into the era of high-speed rail.
