State-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm) released a statement regarding the "Sinopharm Tiantu Zhigu" project, stating that it has recently discovered that Guangzhou Guojian Capital Management Co., Ltd. has been using the name of Sinopharm Group to promote the project and collaborate with local governments. Upon investigation, it was found that Guangzhou Guojian Capital Management Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Sinopharm Medicinal Materials Co., Ltd., a company that has been involved in legal disputes and incidents of withholding payments to construction units and rural collective enterprises. Sinopharm Group has previously issued statements clarifying that Sinopharm Medicinal Materials Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies are not associated with Sinopharm Group or Sinopharm Traditional Chinese Medicine. Sinopharm Group hereby solemnly declares that it has never authorized Guangzhou Guojian Capital Management Co., Ltd. or Sinopharm Medicinal Materials Co., Ltd. and its affiliated companies to conduct any form of project investment or cooperation promotion in the name of "China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation," "China National Pharmaceutical Group," "Sinopharm Group," or "member companies of Sinopharm Group." Sinopharm Group reserves the right to pursue legal responsibility for anyone who impersonates Sinopharm Group or damages its reputation.
