On May 13th local time, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Saudi AI company HUMAIN announced a strategic partnership to jointly invest over 5 billion US dollars in Saudi Arabia to build an "AI zone." The statement mentioned that this zone will integrate various innovative capabilities, including AWS-exclusive AI infrastructure and servers, UltraCluster network for accelerated AI training and inference, AWS services like SageMaker and Bedrock, as well as AI application services such as Amazon Q, to help Saudi Arabia achieve its strategic goal of leading global AI development.
