SK Group will sell SK Signet, the electric vehicle charger manufacturing department.
The Korea Economic Daily quoted an unnamed investment bank source as saying that SK Group will sell 62.9% of its electric vehicle charger manufacturing subsidiary SK Signet, as part of the group's efforts to rebalance its business. SK has selected a foreign investment bank as the underwriter and is looking for a South Korean private equity fund. SK Group acquired Signet four years ago; the division has faced difficulties due to the so-called electric vehicle market gap. SK Signet recorded a operating loss of 242.8 billion won in 2024.
