According to data released by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany on May 14, the inflation rate in Germany was 2.1% in April. The inflation rate has been continuously decreasing since the beginning of the year, with 2.2% in March, and 2.3% in both January and February. The Federal Statistical Office of Germany also reported that the decline in energy prices had a significant downward impact on inflation in April. Consumer prices in April increased by 0.4% compared to March.
