The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters about the export control list. A reporter asked: "We noticed that in the joint statement of the China-US-Japan Geneva Economic and Trade Talks, it was mentioned that China will suspend or cancel non-tariff retaliatory measures against the United States from April 2, 2025. What considerations are there regarding the export control list?" The answer: According to the relevant laws and regulations on export control, the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 21 and No. 22 on April 4 and 9, 2025, respectively, listing a total of 28 U.S. entities on the export control list, prohibiting the export of dual-use items to them. In order to implement the consensus of the China-US economic and trade high-level talks, it was decided to suspend the above-mentioned measures within 90 days from May 14, 2025. Exporters who need to export dual-use items to the above-mentioned 28 entities should apply to the Ministry of Commerce in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Export Control of Dual-Use Items of the People's Republic of China; the Ministry of Commerce will conduct review in accordance with the law and regulations, and those that meet the requirements will be granted permits.
