Risk aversion suppresses safe-haven assets, causing gold prices to decrease.
Gold prices fall as investors' risk appetite increases, despite lingering uncertainties around the tariff negotiation path and the strengthened optimism for interest rate cuts this year. Market analyst Fawad Razaqzada from Forex.com said, "With tariffs being reduced and negotiations showing actual progress, investors are becoming more confident. More importantly, the lower-than-expected inflation data released by the US on Tuesday further soothed concerns that Trump's trade tariffs would ignite a new round of inflation. The bearish trend may continue for a few days, but the long-term bullish outlook remains intact."
