On the evening of May 13th, strong convective weather hit multiple districts in Beijing, including Haidian and Chaoyang, with hailstones exceeding 3 centimeters in diameter in some areas. It was reported that Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company's Beijing branch quickly activated its emergency response plan. As of 5:00 pm on May 14th, there were a total of 16,022 car insurance claims related to hail damage and 31 non-car insurance claims related to hail damage.
