Silicon Industry Association: Industrial silicon prices slightly fell this week.
The Silicon Industry Branch announced that the spot price of industrial silicon fell slightly this week. On the supply side, the operating rate in the southern region slightly increased, while in the northern region, except for a few large factories reducing production by a small amount, the operating rate remained relatively stable, with overall supply changes being small. On the demand side, some units in the organosilicon monomer plants have completed maintenance, leading to a slight increase in supply and increased demand for industrial silicon. Polysilicon plants are currently producing steadily, maintaining stable demand for industrial silicon. Aluminum alloy companies are purchasing industrial silicon as needed, and there is a slight increase in total demand for industrial silicon. In terms of prices, organosilicon prices are stable, downstream companies are mostly adopting a wait-and-see attitude, and market trading activity is not high; polysilicon prices are down.
