Closing: Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.86% to reclaim the 3400-point mark, with insurance and securities leading the way in a surge in the financial sector in the afternoon.
The three major stock indexes in A-shares collectively rose today. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.86%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.64%, the ChiNext Index rose by 1.01%, and the SZSE Component Index rose by 1.08%. The total trading volume of the market was 1.3499 trillion yuan, an increase of 23.9 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 2300 individual stocks in the entire market rose. In terms of sector themes, the shipping and logistics, insurance, and securities sectors led the gains; while the photovoltaic, precious metals, and military industries sectors experienced the greatest declines. On the market, the insurance and securities major financial sectors surged in the afternoon, with China Life Insurance, Hongta Securities, and Jinlong Gufeng all hitting the limit up. The shipping and logistics sector performed strongly today, with more than 10 stocks such as Huaguang Yuanhai, Jiacheng International, and Changjiu Logistics hitting the limit up. The photovoltaic concept stocks adjusted today, with Haiyou Xincai, Junda Shares, and Tongwei shares leading the declines. The defense electronics sector also lagged behind, with Chengdu Leasing, CAA-Geryon, and Tianjian Technology leading the declines.
