On the afternoon of May 13th, Ping An of China held its annual shareholders' meeting for the year 2024. During the meeting, a shareholder asked about Ping An's layout in the field of elderly care, and what services it can provide for elderly people who live at home. In response, Guo Xiaotao, the CEO of Ping An, stated that Ping An's current elderly care services fall into three categories: first is home-based elderly care, using an "offline + online" service model, integrating the demands of 240 million customers. Ping An acts as the payment party, connecting with elderly care and service providers on the other end, delivering services to the door, allowing customers to enjoy high-quality elderly care services at home; second is alliance-based elderly care communities, managed and operated in cooperation with the most professional third parties; third is high-quality elderly care communities, under the Ping An brand and management. The layout of these three categories by Ping An matches the "9073 model" of elderly care in China, where 90% of elderly people live at home, 7% in communities, and 3% in elderly care institutions. In addition, in terms of home-based elderly care, Ping An's medical and elderly care service system has established a "from line to store to enterprise to home" system, providing over 500 elderly care services to customers in more than 75 cities in China, not only through offline services but also through online services such as family doctors and elderly care managers.
