Beijing encourages the compound utilization of construction land in rural areas.

The Beijing Municipal Administration of Planning and Natural Resources recently issued a notice on further deepening the integration and optimization of village planning assessments. The notice specifies that village planning does not need to be repeated, and each district should, based on the actual needs of rural development and governance, carry out village planning assessments and optimization based on existing results as needed to ensure the orderly implementation of various rural construction projects. The notice encourages districts to overall optimize the land space layout within villages, improve the land use layout within village construction boundaries, explore multiple uses of rural construction land, shape the unique characteristics of rural areas, and promote the deepening of village planning as needed.
