At 10:40 on May 14th, with the sound of the departure command, a convoy carrying electronic components, fresh vegetables, and general merchandise set off synchronously from Nanning, Guangxi and Kunming, Yunnan towards Hanoi, Vietnam. This marks the first time that Chinese freight vehicles carrying Greater Mekong Subregion Cross-Border Transport Agreement documents have entered Vietnam's hinterland. The official opening of the China-Vietnam international road transport route to Hanoi connects two transport routes through the Hekou Port and the Friendship Pass to Hanoi, Vietnam. This direct transport mode adopts the "one box to the end" and "one car to the end" model, fully leveraging the advantages of point-to-point, high efficiency, and low turnover in road transport. Compared to traditional transportation methods, each truck can save approximately 1 day in time and costs can be reduced by 800 to 1000 yuan. The transport efficiency has greatly improved, further enhancing the convenience level of China-Vietnam international road transport.
